Artist Statement:
My current work is mixed media that has evolved in a variety of ways out of my digital photographs. I collage them into acrylic paintings or print them into watercolor backdrops, submerging them into the beginning of a scene and then creating cohesion by painting them deeper into their surroundings. I use intensified colors, expressive brush strokes and/or hand drawn lines to lend more emotion to what would otherwise be a more objective photographic view.
