Artist Statement:
I am not entirely sure why I paint. it would be easier not to. Yet, I don't suffer for it either. It is a reflection of who I am in a language I know well. When successful, one piece will inform the next and allow it to become something the first failed to be, wading through a frustrated impasto to end up somewhere that makes sense. The changes hidden beneath, define an outer skin of paint, color, texture and shape that becomes the mark of experience: action and reaction encapsulated.
